Get our guard up, It's starting again in 2011

The new year is here and the anti gunners are firing the first shots already. Be aware that this kid is out there and making a lot of noise in the Gun Control arena. Colin Goddard is a survivor of the VA Tech shootings and is starting to bitch. He now belongs to the Brady campaign and is trying to come across as an all American boy that doesn;t hate guns ,just the laws that control them.....

http://www.aolnews.com/2010/12/31/colin ... id=webmail

"That took me back to the day like none other," Goddard said of another troubled gunman who killed 14 at an immigration center in Binghamton, N.Y. "I was watching the body count rise and I was like, this is just the same stuff that is happening to another family now. ... I was like, I've got to get involved. I've got to do something about this."

I have been reading about this kid at several sites and it would be prudent on our part to beware that he is raising some hell about the gun show loophole and other imaginary hobgoblins.....Granted he has some room to complain after being shot 4 times by the VA Tech gunman but he would be better served to promote gun ownership and self defense than the cowards way out of continually failed regulation...

I saw this guy on GMA I think, I didn;t care for the way the interviewer asked the questions, but I thought his answers were "ok".. and by that I mean I saw where he did some undercover stuff at gun shows. I agree with him that "crazy people" can buy guns at gunshows... but crazy people can also buy claw hammers at hardware stores... This kid was shot several times at the Va Tech shootings and in my "commie" opinion has earned his right to his opinion.

I agree there will be a lot of twisted versions of interviews and stories to suit the medias need... That undercover stuff is always shown in the worst light and always leaves out the fact that people have the right to do with their personal property as they see fit without FED,,State,or Local interference or regulation. Plus I find it funny that they act like he';s actually doing some kind of Get Smart spy nonsense,.

He forgets that if there were a law-abiding armed citizen that maybe Seung-Hui Cho would've been stopped much sooner. Maybe that body count that he mentioned rising wouldn't have risen nearly so high. That's what he's ignoring.

He should talk to Susanna Hupp and Nikki Goeser and then consider his position again. Heck, he should talk to my Dad.

After a shooting spree, they always want to take the guns away from the people who didn't do it. I sure as hell wouldn't want to live in a society where the only people allowed guns are the police and the military.

I have a feeling that this year we are going to be bombarded with some of the most ridiculous, maudlin, crybaby crapolla that has ever been uttered by the anti's. They are gonna play the sympathy BS to the hilt and then some in their attempts to get people on board with their gun grabbing idiocy. Watching for which politicians join in the Boo Hoo festivities should be about the same with possibly a few new bleeding hearts to bore the hell out of us. No need to say we have to remain strong as I have never seen the gun owners of this country stronger and more committed to their rights than they are now..But getting stronger never hurts,,,,,,,, It's 2011 ,,,,,let's kick some ass!!!!!!

That's great!! I do think that after a lot of failed attempts ,,the Bloombergs and VA Tech exploiters along with MAIG, Brady campaign and the rest are gonna be crying a river that hopefully will fall on an informed public that knows when they are being conned.(older and wiser) I've never seen or talked to an anti whose arguments could stand up to the truth once stripped of the sympathy factor.......

If anyone cared to shove a camera in my face, i can most definitely explain THERE IS NO GUNSHOW LOOPHOLE. If there was I'd have a really cool EAA 10mm handgun right now. Where did this nonsense come from anyway? King Mikes colostomy bag/mouth?

Alas I must wait until i finally endure the living hell that is the DMV for a Virginia state photo ID so I can buy a gun here.

As a legal resident of Virginia no less! I still couldn't buy without the proper ID. The gun show system is fine the way it is.

You're not saying what they want to hear so there will be no camera.

What they are talking about is the private citizen whosells a gun to another citizen, or those who sell privately owned guns at gunshows. Some people will go to a gunshow and pay to get in while carrying a gun they have for sale(in that case they can and do sell it to anyone who has the cash, regardless of the buyers background) as thats why they call it the "gunshow loophole" . If changed it would also affect any person in the Commonwealth who wanted to sell a gun to someone else. The real goal is to force private citizens to have to go through a middleman(with an FFL) so there would be a government record of the transfer, and thus a form of registration)...

Citizens engaging in commerce without a chance for the tax-men to get a cut eh? The nerve!

The way you word it makes it more an "about the money" issue more so than a moral attack on the Second actually to me anyway.

Either way, it aint cool.

GS78 - I know I am asking the obvious, but how would closing the "loophole" have stopped Cho? It would not have.

What we have here is a "celebrity" being exploited by the Brady Bunch. I do not believe for one second that Goddard's thoughts & words are his own. Yes, he is genuinly concerned, but he is clueless as to the facts and has been fed a shovel full of shiite which he greatfully ate.

Sadly, he has the advantage of emotion & ignorance on his side.

Yes, I know, I am stating the obvious & preaching to the choir!!!! :friends:

Simple. Maybe not elegant, but certainly accurate.

I went and signed up for e-mails from the butt sniffs at the Brady Bunch for laughs and intel. I have a high tolerance for absurdity. E.g. I used to get e-mails from Sen (D) Russ Feingold R.I.P.

Highlight from the first welcome email. - "There are only a few federal gun laws on the books, and even those have loopholes."

I have been asked for a monetary contribution 4 times already.

That should turn out to be an enlightening journey with the specialized liars of Brady..... At the present interest level in them and their nonsense I am surprised they didn't hit you up for bucks just to get an E Mail..... Thet see loopholes in everything!

Would be totally cool if there was a loophole that would shut the Brady people up once and for all,Then get working on one for Chuckie Schumer, Diane Feinstein,Frank Lautenburg and of course Ol' Mr numnuts himself Mikie Bloomberg... There rants of unsubstantiated BS would not be missed!
