Members of a Florida school board were searching for answers on Wednesday as to why a 56-year-old ex-convict opened fire on them before killing himself at an otherwise routine meeting

Speaking to reporters during multiple interviews, school officials from the Bay County Public School District said they were still puzzled about the Tuesday afternoon incident in Panama City.....................(Click the link)

Looks like your typical violent, racist, teabagging Glenn Beck disciple.

Oh, wait... never mind.

It was nice of him to load up with blanks, I guess. Too bad he didn't just stay home, write a note, and off himself and leave everyone else out of it.

How could this happen? The school was clearly marked as a "Gun Free Zone."

Let's see... I'm losing track of the leftists who have gone on violent, politically-motivated rampages over the past couple of years. There's this school board shooter douche who was a 9/11 truther and devotee of IndyMedia and Media Matters. A few months ago, we had the Discovery Channel gunman, who stated that he was moved to violence by Al Gore's work of fiction. A while before that, we had the guy at the Pentagon Metro station who shot a Pentagon police officer and himself, who we learned was a 9/11 truther with a trail of web site rants against George W Bush and the wars. Earlier, we had the Holocaust Museum shooter, who the US media successfully tagged as a "right winger" for two days of coverage until his avowed socialism and leftwing hatred of Jews and Christians emerged. (IIRC, he was also a Democrat donor) And I feel like I'm missing a couple here.

Funny how the US media lost interest in these stories once the jerks' views and motivations were made clear. And I'm not even mentioning the jihadi a-holes in Little Rock and Ft. Hood.

they weren't blanks. a safety officer came in behind him. He missed the first few shots at point blank somehow and then was shot by the safety officer

Ahhh...interesting. I hadn't seen that angle yet. Well...I stand by the second part of my statement.

One round hit the binder in front of the superintendent and shot it across the table. Inside Edition had a pic of gun and the binder but I still can't find that anywhere.

The inaction of the men in that room illustrates the problem with Americans today. They are, as a group, meek and unwilling to face danger, they hope for the "authorities" to come help them. It's the same "progressive" mindset that gives us big brother laws against toys with fast food meals. What the woman did was ineffective, I would have chosen a pen to the neck, but I wonder if she foolishly expected the men to jump in. The goblin turned his back and there was a man just sitting there. That's one of the points in the encounter that should have been met with extreme violence and decisive action. I'm no mall ninja, nor do I consider myself "special forces", but I try to keep a mindset that I will not be idle while my life is threatened, or the life of a loved one. (My son knows I would rather chance shooting him by accident, than let him be taken and tortured by some lunatic.) I can't go so far as so say the men in that room are not "men", but they have been lulled into submissiveness by society today. I don't for a second believe the shooter had no intention to harm anyone. The only reason he didn't hit them (despite his wife's claim) is he couldn't use the gun. His first shot when low and left; an obvious flinch, and his second shot was an AD into the floor.

Oh, yea, that "security" guy? He did a "peakaboo" into the room early on, and then ran to his car for his vest and more ammo. He's a tool and should find another line of work. The fight was on and he left. His job is security and if he didn't come prepared, he should have fought with what he had. The gunman had his pistol on the superintendent for a good three seconds before firing, yet the guard was in the back waited until after he fired to shoot.

The only bright side is some of the lamestream press is covering this. This incident shows the fallacy of "gun control" laws. Gun free zone, convicted felon, laws against brandishing, laws against hostage taking.... Worked out well, eh? :-)

Yep, I hadn't heard the bit about the security office running to the car. Could you post a link to that? His wife is an enabler and a part of the problem. She tried to make stupid excuses for him.

This security guard whoever is a total incompetent cowardly poop. "I saw him square up and I knew he was fixin' to engage."

No, pindik. You saw a psychopathic libertard loser with one hand in his front pants pocket SLOWLY raise the gun OVER HIS HEAD BOTH BEFORE AND AFTER THE SHOT THAT TOOK 3 SECONDS TO DELIVER!

"I am not a hero." The only thing I agree with.

This reminds me of the underwear muslim bomber that was foiled by the passengers. The one where libertard J. Incompetano says, "the system worked!" The non-disastrous ending is simply good fortune and had ZERO to due with procedures, training or ANY BIT OF ACTION BY A .GOV ENTITY!

Example # 8834 why I know that I alone am responsible for my safety every day.

now, i'm not condoning what he did for the reasoning, but to me this brings up a question. didnt the Founders include the 2A just for the purpose of the citizens to stop the govt? so then the question becomes.. how far are we as a ppl prepared to go before we do come out shooting?

Are you saying you think his actions were justified?

Well, the 2nd Amendment was not meant as a method of resolving employment termination cases.

True. The founders reasoned that a corrupt government doesn't care to much about its citizens protecting themselves or about hunting. A corrupt government cares a whole lot about the people deciding they have had enough and taking action to change said corrupt government.

Indeed. One of those great mysteries. We may never know the answer to this one. Perhaps he didnt see the sign or couldnt read very well.

Aha! Now we have the motive. The poor guy counldnt read and was angry with himself so he went to school. Mystery solved.

Or maybe he saw it and took the time to peel it off the window before entering!

We need to commission a government study to determine exactly how/why a gun was brought into a gun free zone. This should only take about 20 years to conclude!
