50 things every guy should know how to do

Post by OakRidgeStars »

Time to man up and check the list :coffee:

In my opinion, they missed one:

51. Shoot a gun

Cuss a blue streak, take a dump in the woods, drive with your knee while hands are occupied, convincingly blame someone else for farting, find something relating to sex in just about everything, memorize the good cable channels, take a free"Test" drive in a new car,,,,,,Let's get some more here .....

Damn I should have added to blame someone else only when socially necessary,,,

And here's another: know when to walk away from a bad situation if it's bringing you down.

Seriously? "Bong a Beer"? "Fry a Turkey"?

How about these:

Triple tap accuratly at 35'
Clean a black gun, a handgun and a shot gun.
Assist in child birth (she's doing the work, you're just a by stander)
Sons want you to fix things, daughters want you to listen - learn how to listen.
Know 5 knots and 5 lashings
Know how to change the most vital fluids & filters in your vehicle and have the tools to do so.

OK, it kind of scares me that I know how to do more than half those things...

Scares me that anyone would take that list seriously!

Yes, but my guess is a woman (perhaps several) either crafted or helped craft that list...the only other explanation is if guys did it all then they need to hang around with someone like me and Henry for a bit...
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Bong a beer: Sorry, I was never in a frat.

Fry a turkey: I don't use friers. Real men grill and barbecue.

Pick-up a girl using your dog as a wingman: ??? Lame. If you need your dog to help out, you are helpless

Upgrade at a hotel:  Real men camp.

Open a bottle unconventionally: Again, Sorry, I was never in a frat.

Surf the web anonymously: Where did this come from? If you're ashamed of what you're doing, you shouldn't do it in the first place.

Those were just a quick scan. I'd delete those and add these:

Ride a horse.

Shoot a rifle, shotgun, and pistol, and be able to clean them afterwards. Maintaining your equipment is essential to being a guy.

And learn to shave with a straight razor.

Use a compass.

Draw a map.

Program a computer. (this is optional for anyone over 45.)
