Nope, you are not there yet, but I am sure you can work on it a bit more and you might catch up :hysterical:

Yes, I think you do. The first step toward dealing with hoarding or collection is to give it all away.

I started this year, too, and quickly built up my collection. I am done, though. Really. I am. Except for a .308. Then I am done. Really, I am.

I really need to get myself a AR/M4. This is something i have held off buying because i wanna build my own with all the right parts and if i ever wanna shoot one i can call any one of my friends who own firearms.

well you need to collect for a few years, get to 125 guns, 100,000 + rounds of assorted ammo a multitude for most of the guns, & then decide to sell all your collection & ammo, get down to 5, & then think what did you do? why did you sell them all, & yes I even gave a couple away, 3 to close friends that couldnt afford. now financially I cant really do alot. not what I would like to do anyway.

I have a H&K VP70 on layaway. If I am lucky I might have 2,000 rounds of assorted ammo, unfortunately most is rimfire 22, & the only 22 I have is a NAA mini pistol. for center fire ammo maybe a couple hundred rounds.

welcome to the addiction disease.

Later,
Randy

It's not a problem until you need multiple spreadsheets to track your collections (plural) and you have to build a house to store your ammo supply in.

If you know how many guns you have you don't have enough.

I'm in a similar position, having started in February. One thing that has helped is to track every last expense dedicated to my new "hobby" on a spreadsheet, all the way down to my NRA membership fee and low cost accessories and supplies. I started to pay attention when I noticed that about one hour of my take home pay for every working day was going towards funding this new little habit.

Is that all? Slash discretionary spending and buy some guns!

You're not even close until you have at least 12k rounds and enough primer/powder to load another 12k...

In the next ten years these guns and ammo might be worth 10 to 20 times what they are worth now! Welcome to our world of addiction my brother from another mother. Good luck and enjoy!

Thats what you think about if your house ever catches fire and the twit down the street yells at the firemen "RUN...HE'S GOT A TON OF EXPLOSIVES IN THERE!!!!!"
