Great videos, Brian. He handles that rifle pretty well regardless of his age.

Nice and he seems to know how to handle the gun. I don't think you will get any flack around here for war reenactment activities. Just a little common sense goes a long way. There are stories of honor and valor on both sides. Of course some soldiers did awful things.
His shooting was good, but I'd tell him not to stand in one place for too long, shooting or otherwise. I hear those yanks, especially the country boys, are good shots...something about private firearm ownership and sport.

Looks like he needs a chin strap for that helmet...Very nice video. Good weapon handling.

OMG!!! No eye protection????
I have my Dad's set of WW II books published by the VFW. In it are photos of kids looking like this, but (obviously) worse for wear. Bravo to you & son for telling it like it was. If we do not study history, we will repeat it.

Yes, I can see it running 24x7 on Government Broadcasting Corporation. Wasn't there some Tea Party candidates in the last election who were ridiculed in the press for reenactments?
On the bright side, it is probably less over than if he was playing dress up for Dixie...

Looks good. Tell your son that there were honorable German soldiers too. The ideology was skewed, but a good soldier is a good soldier.

Yes, it was a Republican candidate in Ohio as I recall. There were pics of him at a reenactment dressed as (I think, I may be off) a SS officer of some flavor. Even our newly-minted House majority leader wasted no time flaming the crap out of the guy.

I wish my parents sent me to WWII camp when I was a youngin. Of course, there probably wasn't WWII camp when I was a youngin.
