Location To use For Concealed Carry Class
After shoulder and elbow surgery knocked me out of the circuit for a while, I am now ready to start providing the great citizens of Virginia the certification required in order for them to obtain a Virginia Concealed Carry license. I was using a Masonic Lodge to teach the course but due to logistical issues, that is no longer an option. If you know of any location that would be suitable for a four hour class of up to twenty people, I would greatly appreciate the contact information. This could be an Elkk’s Lodge, a church, Masonic Lodge, office space, anywhere that can accommodate seating and a place for the instructor. As a strong believer in the second amendment, I believe that all law abiding citizens should exercise the right to carry and to do so concealed. As a person with a full time career, I am constantly in search of suitable locations for use on weekends and some Fridays, that can be used to get people certified and on the road to obtaining a concealed carry permit. Thanks in advance for any thoughts, ideas, or direction and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Have you contacted any hotels yet?. The smaller chains like Hampton Inn, Days Inn, Best Western, etc. usually have smaller meeting rooms that will hold around 15 - 20 people.

That is a great idea and no I have not donethat. I was not sure about the attitudes to expect rearding firearms training in those establishments but thinking of it now.... It might work. Thanks for the thoughts!OakRidgeStars wrote:Have you contacted any hotels yet?. Have you given any thought as to how you're going to provide for competence demonstration?

That is a subjective "requirment" when you consider that anyone can take a course online. I have been doing this for some time and am a law enforcement tactics and firearms instructor as well. I assure you... students in my classes get far and above a simple Concealed carry course. All students are encouraged to follow up with my basic which is a requirement for all of my advanced classes as well. Great question though and thank you for that.Jim wrote:Have you given any thought as to how you're going to provide for competence demonstration?

I beg your pardon, Sir. I stand corrected.

The thing about e mail and messages is that it is so hard for the reader to get an accurate feel for the tone. I sure do hope that I did not come across as rude or cokey in my answer. Your's was a great question and one that i am happy that you asked. Thanks again and stay safeJim wrote:I beg your pardon, Sir. I stand corrected.
