Now, all that being said, I worked up a blank load for my 7.62 X 51 Spanish Mauser. 30 grains of Bullseye with a foam ear plug in the case neck.

Anyone that's familiar with Bullseye powder may think I'm crazy as a loon for lighting off 30 grains of Bullseye in a bottle neck cartridge, but I assure you, I've done it many times.

The foam ear plug vaporizes and creates absolutely no pressure. The primer remains rounded with no printing and there are no chamber marks on the case. I can tell you this, though: It makes one #311 of a noise and the muzzle flash will turn the night sky to broad daylight for a millisecond.
