Bloggers who lie make me sick

Alright, so there's this article out there that I read today about "Background checks" for purchasing firearms. Unfortunately, the entire premise that the article is based on is a lie. It's based on the incorrect notion that the guy who shot up VA Tech did so with firearms that were purchased without a background check.
I posted a comment on this guy's blog to try to set the story straight, but of course, my comment was moderated out since it pointed out that his entire article was fictitious.
Here's the article.
http://www.mybackgroundcheck.com/blog/p ... 7ce5912a64
My comment essentially said:
The Va Tech shooter, Seung Hui Cho, did not purchase any firearms without a background check. In fact, he purchased one firearm from a gun dealer who performed a background check and the other was purchased from a pawn shop where another background check was performed. There was a hole in the law regarding the reporting requirements for mental issues at the time, but that hole has been closed by the VIrginia legislature.
I'm tired of bloggers perpetuating lies on the internet by writing content that is blatantly wrong and passing it off as fact. Especially when someone specifically tells you the truth, but you choose to leave you lies posted anyway.

Posted my comment. Here it is. Let's see if it gets moderated out, too.
Unfortunately, what you've said about the VA Tech gunman of 2007 is not correct. He actually did go through a background check, because he bought his firearms at a Federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL). The problem is that the background check system didn't get updated with his mental illness information, otherwise he would've been stopped right there. That administrative oversight in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) was remedied very shortly thereafter. Today, he would've been flagged and refused.

What, a citizen not wanting to be open to rational, reasoned discourse? One without an open mind? I am shocked, to tell you, shocked!

I typed up a response, then just closed the window. That a$$ clown doesn't deserve any attention for his hit-piece. Hopefully, he'll continue to hang out at criminal-approved (read: gun-free) zones....

The most unfortunate part about it is that it's not just amateur bloggers online. This problem with fabrication of the truth, bending and spinning to the point of lying, goes all the way to the top of the media world on TV, newsprint and magazines.

Hey if he wants to rally for backround checks to be preformed prior to purchasing a handgun why are we complaining. Its kinda like if I said that the current drinking age in Virginia is outrageous and needs to be raised to 21.

Ah, you have discovered Reasoned Discourseā¢, a favorite tactic of the anti-gun nuts.
There is nothing you can do about it, other than launching DDOS attacks or hacking the blog. Forget about it and move on.

Like Daddy would say, "Consider the source."
My response(y'all know me):
You inferred that no background check was done. I assume you have investigated this and have determined this is the case. If that be the case, would you please present such evidence?

He's fragging all comments. However, he's invited commentary on a more visible scale. Go to the top of the page, share the story on your Facebook page and then leave a comment. Let all your friends see how much of an ass-hat this guy is.
I just went back & read some of the other posts by this fool. He whines about the sad state of affairs and offers no real solution or ideas.
Jackwagon.

I don't want to give this guy any more traffic or visibility than he gets. We probably doubled his traffic overnight. Just /ignore him and watch that blog be dead within a year.

Sir, point of order. I think that "Jackwagon" is appropriate. You see, Jackwagons have no purpose, where as jackasses do things out of (for lack of a better phrase) contempt for society. I knew a very adept jackass in high school - he spent the first four weeks of the school year observing the instructor and the rest of the school year asking assinine question and making obtuse observasions causing said instructor a case of apoplexy.
This guy is a Jackwagon. He has no usefulness in any society other than relgous sacrifice or doorstop.
