NEW additions to the Family Today.

Post by SnakeEater »

Today I had a buying frenzy. I was looking to buy an AR15. So while out and about but all my money was spent on these.

The Pink Rifle a Davey Crickett 22 single shot and 500 rnds. For the Daughter to shoot (Age9) while we are at the range.

Next is a Remington 870 Express Tactical 12GA. RS BBL Rem Choke Tactical Tube (Breaching Muzzle Break) XS Sight Systems Ghost Ring Shot Rail W/2 Shot Extention. Box of #4 bird Shot for Home Defense (does not penetrate the dry wall but messes up flesh). and a box of 00 Buck.

Finally is a Remington 700 Stainless 24" Barrel in .308 Win 700 Stainless Special 5-R Milspec Barrel and a Nikon Pro Staff 3-9x50 Scope in Stainless to Match. Plus 60 rnds.

And the case for the price of the AR15 I was looking for. $1700.00 + tax

well i guess in a way yes. but I have been saving a long time. one of the things I do are when I get a dollar in change that has a certain mint mark I put it in a jar. Currently I am saving Boston and Richmond. I had alotted for $1,800.00 for the AR and I got three guns for the price of one plus a scope w/ mounting and a hard case as well as ammo :)

Thanks

Nice! Good to see your starting your little one on a 22. Brings back memories. I've got a 22mag thats about 30 years old used for the same thing. I need to get it to the range.

I HATE YOU, I have been banned from firearms purchases (by the wife).

Nice guns. IMO I think your best purchase was the Cricket.

WOW you are obviously not retired.

I'm lucky to buy one a year, but I think I have a new one coming, I hope.

I had to edit this post. I had my wife come in here to read this and look at the pictures, just for effect.

Yup that is the way I was started too, only I was started much earlier than I am starting my daughter out. She had seen this Rifle at the Scottsdale Gun Club In AZ when we lived there and has wanted on since. So the guy threw it in as a package deal.

it is very short and honestly just her size.

To be honest these are the first new guns I have purchased since I bought my XD in 2006. I am on disability and can't afford much that is why I have been saving my dollars in a jar and loose change in another. This is the only way I could afford to buy any thing like this. You should see the guns I had to sell just to keep up with med bills and the like. But I will use the shottie for home defense and the rifle to get food, if need be but I do want to go hunting this year to suppliment the meat bill.

Thanks

Thanks Allingeneral I hope so it does seem that way but you always have that feeling like you have been taken for more than it was worth ya know. Is that buyers remorse? What ever it is was there for a moment now it is gone. Now for the 300 cash sorry but I got this one and its a keeper I am now saveing for a knoxx recoil system Specops NRS Stock http://www.blackhawk.com/catalog/Shotgun-Stocks,165.htm.

It is going to take a while. The place where I got this one has a couple more and I saw a used Mossberg breaching Shotgun Pump with pistol grip only don't remember price but I didn't like it for some reason can't remember. and a new Saiga K12 for 6something if I remember right.

I moved out here from Tucson in 2000. I miss going to the desert for a day of shooting. Trying to get an assignment in either AZ or NM, but its slow going.

When I Lived in AZ I lived in Phoenix and Queen Creek and I would say the same thing about going to the woods. We moved from VA to AZ in 2005 and just moved back in Nov.

DOD civilian in the Pentagon. You?

Its becoming increasingly difficult for me to find attractive positions away from the flag pole where I won't have to take a big downgrade, but I'm keeping my options open.

I am right now on disability for cancer and I hope starting remission.

I used to be a National Defence Contractor and have worked with or in all of the three letter agencies as well as the two letter agency SS either as an instructor or as a security consultant, also have done some personal protection jobs.

I have also worked in the semiconductor field and thats what I was doing in AZ.
