Yet another new member

I recently moved from PA to start a new career in northern VA. Beautiful state btw, loved the drive coming from Harrisburg. Been lurking for the past few weeks to read about the relevant laws, but decided now was a good time as any to join up. I currently have PA's version of the VA CHP (yay reciprocity), but I'm working towards getting it out of the way.
On a side note I was interesting in finding out why VA gun club membership fees tended to be so high or if that was just a NoVA phenomenon; if there were restrictive laws/fees for setting up shooting ranges? Relative to PA, I'm thinking wtf. I only ask because I still belong to a club in PA that has a up to and including 300yd ranges for $20/yr.

Everything is more expensive in NOVA...
There are some decent clubs nearby...someone will pop up with info...

Thanks! As I've discovered so far, hah. Got a few ideas but still researching ranges. The NRA range seems decent for something nearby, but I'm not against going an hour away for a range trip.
