Open areas for shooting Shotguns

I was wanting to find a place where I can shoot my new shotgun in the Prince William County area I live in Bristow and know of all the ranges Bull Run, Blueridge Arsenal and NRA, I talking more about open areas maybe State or Federal land or even private land that is friendly to gun owners, I'm just talking about shotguns not pistols and rifles... although that would be nice too.

I shoot at Clark Brothers out in Warrenton and the Izzack Walton leauge (Alexandria) located off 610 in stafford VA. It cost $200. to join and $100. a year after that. Check them out at http://www.iwla.us/

What are you planning on shooting, clay birds or steel plates? The population is too dense even in PWC to do that. I'm pretty sure you can do that in the big National Forests on the western edge of the state.

No shooting on public lands, state or federal unless it is at a range or while hunting. So other than ranges you need to make friends with someone with a large piece of private land, and check the local regulations, some areas are restrictive even on private land.
