One down

I shot a spike yesterday afternoon with my crossbow. He had about 7" spikes with about a 2" spread.

I made a barely audible grunt and three bucks busted out into the food plot. He was the only one that came in close enough for a shot and with three sets of eyes watching me I rushed the shot and Made what DK called a "good miss". About 1" higher and it would have been a miss. I didn't take any pics, I was rushing to get him cooled down since it was so warm.

Congats. Henry,
I also put one down Sat. morning, a big old mule head doe about 140 pounds shot at 30 yards and hit in the shoulder with a G5 striker, dropping it like a sack of rocks. I saw 3 more that I had in shooting range and messed with them with the grunt tube and bleat cans. They wanted to come in closer for a better look but weren't sure about the blind. All of the guys I hunt with saw deer and one other guy shot a button buck. It sure was a great day for the start of bow season and it's looking to be a good one thus far.DK just keep hunting and it'll happen buddy.

Your time is coming real soon. All the effort and time you put in last year your'e due a couple of deer. It's been a long time since I've seen as many deer in one afternoon as you did. There's always next saturday.

Hey Bill. Me too. Glad you and Sharon got back ok. Hoping to be back down real soon. Not sure when I can drag Young with me again as we're still trying to get her a job with a regular schedule.
