Google introduces URL shortening website goo.gl

Google introduced a new URL shortening website that has functionality similar to bit.ly and tinyurl.com. But Google wouldn't just intoduce this site without something catchy now, would they?
GOO.GL not only shortens links, but it also allows you to login to your Google account to keep track of your shortened links as well as provides usage statistics for your links. Pretty great, huh?!
