Is it just me or did this Pizza Hut employee, a former Sheriff's Deputy, wait WAY too long to use his concealed Glock? Of course, he might have been fearful about being fired because Pizza Hut doesn't allow drivers to carry weapons, even if they have a CCP. Their apparent policy: better to be carried by 6 than judged by 12.

He should have known better than to talk to the press. His comment about "tired of being robbed" could be used against him if charges are filed. That wasnt his motivation for shooting, but the defense might be able to turn it into that.

The newspaper wasted no time in making sure the Pizza Hut employees fired for having a gun came to light in several sentences. As far as him waiting ,,,,events may have prevented him from drawing the gun right away,,, The good thing is he USED IT when he had to or else it might have been him being taken put feet first, IMO it was a good shoot and if Pizza Hut fires him, they are wrong to do so....

If Pizza Hut pizza didn't already suck, I'd boycott the company for its firearms policy.

If you did that with every company that has a policy like that, you'd have no where to go. It's pretty standard in today's kinder gentler corporate world.

As for the delivery driver, it seem to me he showed great restraint and pulled his weapon when he had no other choice. How many times did they pistol-whip him before he drew and fired? IMHO, he did he right thing. Society should be thanking him for geting two more scumbags off the street instead of judging him.

I must agree with this quote 100%. No one can decide if he was right or wrong unless they lived it. A good shoot yes, great restraint on the shooter's part.
