I been looking for a job for a while i don't mind physical activity i need money right now i'm trying to get a FN five-seven i even apply for mac Donald's and they wont hire me i need a job so if any body knows were there hiring at around falls church hit me up as i said before i don't mind physical labor i just need money right now i got fired not to long ago my education is only up to 8th grade but i need money like everyone else and i know this might be out of question on this forums but if you know of a job plz pm me thank you for your time thank youo

Next - you are in NOVA, good. I assume reliable transport too. Hit the Home Depots, Lowes and such. Best Buy near Dulles Town Center has a HUGE "We're hiring banner" out front.

Last - you tell us you need a job for guns, well, OK. We all have priorities, but tell us what you are good at. Carpentry? Chip design? Distilling? "Throw me a bone here...."

I agree with all of the above - though, I don't think anyone is going to come searching for your post on VGOF and get on you about your grammar and punctuation - however, if you type like that here, I hope that your resume or job application (and interview) are done more formally with proper punctuation and grammar.

There are a lot of people looking for work right now. You need to be able to stand out and tell a prospective employer why they should hire YOU instead of the 18 other people in line for an interview.

A few things that I've done that you could probably do too and make a few bucks:

* lawn / garden care. I did this as a teenager. I found that I made more money in less time than my other friends working fast food or retail, I got to be outside, and for the most part I got to work my own schedule. Weekends were the bigger money making days, though. Competition here in NoVA is probably pretty strong, though - I grew up in the Hampton Roads area of VA.
* bicycle messenger. Though, now with the advent of the internet, electronic signatures and PDF docs, the money isn't what it used to be. The upside is that you're still outdoors, and it was a fun job. Downside? It can be flippin' cold in January and February, and the other benefits are either terrible or non-existent. Technically, you'd be an 'independent contractor'.
* old standby - wait tables! If you can pretend to like the general public long enough to work a shift (which means tolerating a few stupid and/or high maintenance customers - you'll get those!), can multitask, memorize a couple 'daily specials', and not trip over your own shoelaces, this might be a possibility - there's usually someone out there looking for good waitstaff, particularly now that school is back in session and all of the other kids are back in college. Well, some of them at least. But, if you're decent, you can probably get by - lots of people do it.
* Lowes or Home Depot. I never worked for either of these, but I did work for Hechingers. Upsides: job security, and you're likely to learn a few things while working there.

Yes, the holiday season always brings scads of jobs. I recommend you hit all the malls now. Who knows, a temporary position could turn into a long term endeavor...
