Hey Guys and Gals

Purchased my first firearm 3 weeks ago at the gun show. My second one only took only 2 weeks after. Now i'm looking my 3rd one. The lead bug must have bitten me.

I was a Army Vet for 6 years (if i can call myself dat) and have been living in the DC area for over 20+years.

Excellent choices on your first two firearms. I bet the Sig was the first.

Two good choices too (10/22 and P226). What cal is the P226?

Looks to me you need a carbine or a rifle and a 12ga home defense shotgun..then a pocket pistol...then a revolver...then a tactical rifle...then a anti-material rifle...then

Life is short, why not own them all?

Yes, it appears you're been bitten by the bug. Funny thing about that - most people who've been bitten don't WANT to be cured.

You're looking at it wrong...we all became cured when we were bitten. Its those other poor souls who need to be cured.

The Sig was the first purchase and then the 10-22. I have already purchased a bull barrel, Volquartsen trigger assembly, Green Mountain 20" Bull barrel, Harris BRM bipod, Yukon Extreme Stock, Remington Eliminator Stock and a Bushnell 3.5-10x36 Banner Scope. All of this is for the 10-22 (too much too soon?).

Currently i have had my sights on .22 pistol and have come down to 2 choices.
1. Sig/Hammerli Trackside 6" (if possible the comp. grip version)
2. S&W 22A with 5.5" Bull Barrel and laminated grips

I have a S & W 22A they are pretty good for the money I paid $189 on sale a few years ago. the only thing that I don't like about it was that it has a cheesy plastic buffer in it that wears out pretty quick and if it is not changed regularly it will cause coils to shear off of the firing pin return spring eventually causing the firing pin ( rather thin IMO)to break, it happened to me twice though the round count on both occasions was approx 5-7,000 rnds .Which is not bad but my Ruger Mark III is going on 15K rounds with no issues. A quick call to S&W and the parts were sent quick and free .(a .22 is the only gun i can afford to shoot anywhere near that much)

Also the slide insert that the firng pin and reurn spring go into is plastic and gets chewed up after awhile.

I keep mine around because it's pretty accurate and it's always good to have an xtra .22
