So, what do we need to do in order to get more people here? Post more pictures of scantly-clad women? It might not get more folks here, but it never hurts!

I would like to see another membership boom of 100 or more new members within a couple days' timespan. I think we're definitely moving in the right direction.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have more giveaways to hand out...how can we best use that to entice people to join? Another thing to consider is that we don;t just want people to join - we want them to participate!

I'm always open to ideas.

How about VGOF T-Shirts?. Maybe a combination AIG / VGOF design of some sorts?. If someone knows a person that's in that business, we could probably get a good deal. Then we can wear them to the gun shows, shooting range, gun shops, etc.

I like that idea. However, in order to get any decent discount, we would probably have to buy quantity 250 or more. I also need to do some graphics work... do you want to go out in public wearing a silhouette target with bullet holes in it on your chest? hehe

contests are the best idea i have heard of i really like them given i still cant find that empty click spot

you could set one up that would be based on points

say 2 point for each person you get to join
and 1 point for each legitamate post that person makes within the time period

this way someone who gets 2 really interested people could make the win over someone who just went out and got 25 people to join

That sounds like a good idea - I think it would be difficult to track though. I'll poke around at it a bit. Thanks for the ideas!

i would be a little harder to do but a excel sheet can do wonders i will see if i can figure out a way for it to work and let you know
guess i can do a little more than just come up with the idea

No need for a spreadsheet. I can query the database and get dates and times of new posts and new users if necessary.

I say sell your ammo to members only, if you can ever restock. You'll have more forum members than you know what to do with then.
