Thanks, OakRidgeStars - I was trying to remember their website. I hear they have a pretty good class for women. It is taught by a gentleman, though, if that matters - at least I think it is.

I haven't managed to get my instructor certification yet, or I'd offer.

My friends and I qualified for our permits by taking a class from Mike Wilson a pistol instructor based in Alexandria. Mr. Wilson is a wonderful teacher, I recommend taking his class. He can probably still be reached at gun_training@yahoo.com. Some other friends took his class years ago that is how I know of this class.

I am a female NRA certified firearms instructor located in Fairfax, VA. My background is federal law enforcement,and I have instructed hundreds of residents throughout Northern VA including New Jersey, West Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia who pursue the concealed permit.
