Title of story had me rolling - Ashton Kutcher Tweets pic of his machine gun wielding wife Demi Moore

They have the money, it could very well be a full auto lower.

Only problem is she is shooting it like a target rifle vice the carbine it is. Looks like a 16" barrel with carbine gas system.

Need to get the front hand out by the gas system. Less stable (as the elbow isn't supported), but provide better gun control and allows for rapid pointing. Square the body up so that rapid shots don't create much torque and pull you off target. Get the buttstock higher on the shoulder so you don't bend your neck down to look through the sight.

Good for them. I never really liked Ashton before, but now .....

I have to agree on this one.

Good for anyone that has the money to purchase one and then go's out and learn's how to use it properly. Many years ago prior to getting to South East Asia we went to a mock up village and were shown how and where to enter the villie. We were not shown anything as far as combat type of shooting in the village as they do now a day's. I think a lot of Army and Marine brothers would have made it home sitting up instead of lying down if they had.

We also had a problem in that some of us had M-16's and some had M-14's This also made for logistical problems as we all know when the M-14 is a .308 and the M-16 is a .223 you can't trade ammo if you run out.

It's just nice seeing someone in the Hollywood crowd not being an anti-gun zealot.

Cool to see it isn't one of these "pro-gun" persons against "Assault Weapons".That Magpul class looks like fun BTW.

I would hope that an evil black rifle would be a good indicator that he is not one of those guns-for-me-but-not-for-thee type of celebrity. But there are a few things that give me pause:

I'm sure you've heard of the "ones" before. The "ones" are individuals that are permitted to own and shoot any weapon as long as they condemn your right to do the same thing. You'll hear nary a peep from the mainstream media if these so-called "celebrities" want to enjoy a day at the range, with a black rifle and it's 30 round magazine no less.

But let's remove Cougar Emeritus Demi Moore from that picture and add Sarah Palin.

With all due respect, I think it's the overall message/image she portrays that makes her vilified by some. The right or left wing media trashing the person they want to subvert has been the way for - well, since the birth of our nation.

In any case, I was referring solely to the tweet. There was no anti-gun message implicit in the tweet. Maybe he has before - I don't know - but the message was not actively anti-gun owner like, say, Roger Ebert.

We can play the same card when an anti-gun person speaks out - we can deliver a cool-headed message. We just have to make sure the voices of reason are louder and clearer than the rabid stereotype.
