Good bank & school near Alexandria/Falls Church

Hi everyone,
new member here and soon-to-be resident of Falls Church or Alexandria near D.C. I found out about this forum from the Maryland Shooters forum and decided to register here since I'll actually be living in VA.
Can anyone recommend a good bank to open a savings and checking account with near Falls Church or Alexandria? I'm disgusted with the big national banks and how they treat the customer and currently bank with a small local bank that treats the customer like a decent person. Any suggestions would help.
Also, we have an 8-year old daughter who will enter the 3rd grade in the fall and I have seen some of the rankings of public schools based on test results but wanted to know if some of these rankings are good indicators of the quality of education. Schools such as Thomas Jefferson Elementary or Haycock Elementary seem to be OK based on their reported test scores, but I know there's more to quality of education than the test scores. So, we are still debating between public elementary or private school.
Thanks everyone.
