New training aid

Post by graybeard321 »

I Picked up the Readyshot system which allows me to Use my own gun and Practice in my own home.
The ReadyShot Target provides instant feedback Properly align your sights and squeeze the trigger. Your ReadyShot-equipped handgun instantly fires a laser pulse. The ReadyShot Target senses the laser “hit” from your gun and provides instant feedback on speed and accuracy. . ReadyShot® enables you as a gun owner to affordably practice where it counts, in your own home, with your own gun, using your own realistic tactical simulations. I have set mine up all over the house and have run all kinds of simuilations.

That looks interesting. You should write up a full review for everyone.

Look's neat and from what I can see it only need's a laser of any type so that a laser like mine will in fact work with the system. I have the Crimson Trace Laser for both my Glock 22 in .40 cal. and my S&W Mod. 686 in .357 Magnum.

Yes any laser will work, but the one that comes with the system comes on only when you pull trigger. it has allowed me to work on improving my grip(had fallen into bad habits) and really helps with trigger control. I have only had it a short while, but I did see improvement in my last range visit. One of the simuilations sets a timer and some time around 9 mintue mark you hear glass break and you draw and defend yourself.

Now, if only it had recoil and muzzle flash to practice with.

Only problem I have with this is that with any pistol without a second-strike capability, you'll lose the proper trigger reset.

I'd have to rack the slide on my 1911 and Glock's
