Walmart Raider

OK, first off, I have been known to clear out the shelves of a Walmart or to lately. Just a couple off days ago I got 10 boxes of .9mm blazer brass, I'm sure it ruined someones day. However, I buy it for myself, I don't resell it. Well on Friday my GF and I stopped by dominion arms to see if we could pick up some SD ammo. I looked behind the counter and they had stacks of BB 50 rounds .9mm's, for a second I thought I'd found a good source of ammo. Well it turns out they are clearing out all the local walmarts and in the case of the .9mm, buying for 9.00 and selling for 25.00 per box. I know, capitalism and all but jeez, three times the price? Hopefully the amount he has was an indication that people are not buying.

A low life move for sure, At least your Wal marts sell ammo and you get a chance at reasonable priced ammo.. All the ones around here have what ever is on the shelf and that is very little, I have spoken to a couple of the guys working there and Wallys here won;t be getting anymore ,, No morammo sales after the stock is gone.

I can get ammo but it is premium price for non premium ammo usually,, I just got a case of 1000 40S&W for 20$a box .... I have asked at several places about case sales and they all say NO!! ,,,,Their either making a killing on the stuff or supply for them is hard to get like the rest of us and they want to keep the shelf loaded between orders,,,,

I've been seeing a little more .40 & 9mm on the shelves lately, but it looks like .45acp is still made of solid unobtainium. The big mail order outfits are showing availability somewhere around mid June to late August

haha I guess you'll camp out if you want to buy ammo there! Only bad part is that others are already camping out at the head of the line! You think Wal-mart employees don't tip off their friends a couple of hours before they start stocking the shelves?

Moral of the story: Befriend a Walmart Sporting goods employee! :)

That is just gouging and there should be some source to report this. If anyone has proof that a local shop is doing this they should inform them that several of the forums will be notified and a boycott will be arranged for them. Support your local gunshops, huh?

Based on a National News Report from last night on ABC the problem is Nationwide at all Wal-Mart Stores, makes me believe that wallyworld might be getting out of the handgun market

i make a trip to my walmart almost everynight in hopes that i will find federal .22lr bulk boxes
i am almost on a first name basis with the 2 ladies that stock the sporting goods section
no luck in about a month but i keep trying

as for the employes tipping people off: at my walmart atleast there are only 2-3 people that know ammo arrived and the second that it comes off the truck it goes straight to the shelves. there is no delay once it comes off the truck.
