Range Report - Sharpshooters

Met up with CowboyT today at Sharpshooters and burned a few hundred - literally - rounds of .22, .25, .45 auto, .45 colt, and .38. Cowboy was loaded with ammo and for once I left carrying a light range bag. Not sure how much he had left but he kept pulling it out and saying - we aint done yet long after I ran dry...

He shared his Super Redhawk in .45 colt/Casull and I had a blast - well, actually quite a few. The range was warm as usual and the staff friendly. Apparently Cowboy makes a more than regular appearance at Sharpshooters. After shooting we fondled the long guns and drooled over the glass cases resisting the urge to buy more guns. Btw, they have several boxes of Federal HP .380 for $25/20 and PMC Bronze for $19/50. I of course relieved them of a couple of boxes. No pistol primers, but plenty of rifle.

We retired to a Starbucks for frappachino, iced mocha, and a nice bull session. I missed my Saturday bike ride but it was well worth it. Thanks Cowboy! I just moved a nice revolver up on my list of next gun to buy...

DK's pretty good with that Super Redhawk, BTW. And he allowed me to fire this dead-on-accurate, scoped Ruger 10/22 that he'd brought. I had no idea that scopes could make that big a difference in precision and accuracy, so thanks for that.

For those of you familiar with the Internet series "Pure Pwnage", I also brought a bunch of targets of the "FPS_Doug" character. We both gave ol' FPS_Doug a little dose of his own "BOOM HEADSHOT!!!" medicine. :pistol: :fireright:

All in all, a great day. And I hope it won't be the last.
