I just went to the WalMart at Fair Oaks and they had a shelf full of this ammo (Federal WM5199). I bought 10 boxes. From the reports I see on the Internet, it seems like a decent cartridge. I'll be using it in my new Glock G17 Gen4.

The price was right too - only $9.47 per box of 50 cartridges. It looked like they had about 500 boxes available (well now 490 )

What are your thoughts on this particular ammo for the range?

Good ammo for a cheap price all you can do is it up and report back how it did. Thanks for the update I will swing by tonight and make it 480

I just shot 200 rounds last night out of mine Need to replace them

I just got some with a gun I bought,,, shot 100 rounds, right clean. Liked it better than the WWB.

Wow, I'm new to this forum and I stumbled upon this thread. I just happened to pick up 6 boxes at the Lewisville, TX Walmart. The limit is 6, and I had shot up the last 6 boxes I bought. I usually go once every two weeks to shoot 50 or 100 rounds. It's good stuff for practice, I can get 4" groups at 9 yards, free standing. Not sure how much more accurate it would be with other ammo. I guess I should try, the Winchester stuff is $14 or so a box at the same store.

thanks for the heads up the leesburg wally mart was also stocked up w/ the same price I picked up 3 boxes for myself (the guy w/ the ammo box key tried to only sell me 2 boxes but when I questioned why it wasn't posted he called a mgr and was told there is no limit)

they had plenty of 9mm, .40 even .380 but no .45 to be found...also had huge amount of .223

The Dulles Town Center Walmart usually is stocked too.

500 boxes? Out here you rarely see more than 5 at a time. They had 4 today, and the guy would only let me buy 2 of them. I could have pushed it, but this guy is usually okay, so I dropped it.

Walmart just bumped up the price by $1. Oh well, still cheaper than the range.

All of the Federal has been $1 more for about a month at my local. I talked to a few folks back in CA, and it's the same. So far only the Federal, not Winchester or Remington.

I buy 2 to 4 boxes every time I go to WalMart (I'd be broke if I went there as often as my wife)>

It looks like my next Glock will be a 9mm just because the ammo is much cheaper than my 45. At $10 for 50 rounds, that's nearly half the price of 45.
