Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

So I was looking at purchasing a Kimber 1911. And ran across this pistol Eclipse II. Now I am new to the kimbers and noticed that this barrel looked a little strange to me. About 3/4" back from the front of the barrel, the external diameter reduces a small amount. The seller said that it was the way it came from the factory, but I just don't know enough about them to know for myself. I have looked online and cannot find any other pictures of the eclipse with the slide locked back. So I figured I would ask this great group of minds that have their own experiences. Yep, that's a Kimber barrel all right. Same as the one in my Pro Carry II.
