Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

Hey Virginia.

Brian here. Long time Northern Virginia resident. I'm a big 2nd amendment supporter and will support my case for hours on end. I'm also big on responsible handling and use of firearms. I'm 19, so still waiting on the ability to buy a handgun. My first will probably be an M1911. Right now I have a Yugoslavian AK-47 (M70AB2). I'm working on buying a Remington 870 or Mossberg 500 right now to better suit home defense needs. I'm here to ask some questions and gain some knowledge.

Brian! Stuck in NoVA? Going from the AK to the M1911? A young man after my own heart! Waiting til your 21 sucks! (Just turned 21 a while ago myself) Good choice on the 1911, may I suggest the Springfield models? And of course, great choice on the AK if just for the fact we all know chicks dig AKs!

Welcome to the group! We second (or is it second and third?) the suggestion of a Springfield 1911, a great weapon!
