Kinda an Oxey-Moran isn't it

NRA Convention and Anti-Gun

Is the hotel venue driving the Anti-Gun?

I would have went just to hear Glen Beck if for nothing else but work got in the way

Not sure how any event with every gun and ammo company can be anti. This will be thesecond time I saw Glen Beck at the NRA Convention and believe me he is pro gun.

I think OakRidgeStars is referring to North Carolina in general. You have to be careful, because the local jurisdictions can legislate possession of firearms unlike VA where only the State is allowed. This has led to some issues, because of confusion. Hop over to opencarry.org and check out the North Carolina section of the forum and you will find some examples shown.

Cool - sounds like a good place to be regardless of the no guns rule. Take some pictures and tell Glenn Beck that we said "Hi!" :wave:

I think he was referring to the place where the convention is held being a "Gun Free Zone". Is that correct?

Yeap I was just wondering if it was the hotel driving it but after reading the NC restrictions it is probably a whole bunch of things rolled up. It would not have stopped me from going though as I bet it would be a great time.

@graybeard321
Wish I was there.
Have a great time and take some photos for all of us to see and post them when you get back.

Here's a nice addition to this discussion from Charlotte Gun Rights Examiner, Paul Valone. It seems that the NRA has a partner in it's quest to not only disarm members at the convention, but at one of it's host hotels.

The message to businesses in Charlotte is clear. We'll take your money and your rights, thank you.

Suckers.

Strange is i was in charlotte but ever heard a word about this issue. But really are the businesses in Charlotte any different then the Business in the rest of the country? They all want our money.
