I have a ton of blackbirds here at my place and a pellet rifle like this would be perfect for the little buggers. What kind of muzzle velocity does that thing advertise?

The end of the barrel is actually a handle for breaking the breech open. They are supposed to be very accurate, with the right ammo. Good for birds, rabbits, squirrels, etc.
Rick, the pic is way too big. It looked ok last night, but at work it messes up the panes on the right side, cant get to the quick reply submit button, etc. If you would delete the pic for me, I'll find a smaller one. Thanks

I fixed the pic, I think. No need to find another.
Cabela's says 1,000 FPS with lead pellets, 1,200 FPS with alloy pellets. That should get the job done

Thanks for the fix.
Yep, those are the stats. I've seen a vid of a rabbit head shot from one. Didnt look like an air rifle did it.

I have Oddessy 2000...and with the gamo gold plated pellets, it says 1200 FPS...
I have no more ravens in my backyard...
Ps: I oput a 3x9 on it and one of my buddies took one down at what must have been almost 100 yards...it was a hell of a shot with a pellet rifle...

Sighted it in, finally, at around 35 yrds. Got my first kill with it, starling at over 40 yrds.
What pellets have you guys found to be the most accurate? So far Crossman's premium pointed pellets seem to have the best grouping.
