This question is going too be stupid so I apologize. I seem too have developed an obsession with Israeli made guns :packin: and was wondering, did the Tavor Assault Rifle developed by the wonderful IWI ever make it onto civilian. I know KBI Inc of Charles Daly was the previous importer of the Barak as well as the Jericho 941. I'm just curious if anyone ever imported them.

Looks like they're available in Canada and they planned to bring it to the U.S. twice, but since Charles Daly went outta business no one else has tried. But that's all I know.

It seems to be snakebit from an importer perspective. Charles Daly was the second one I know of that tried and failed (for whatever reason).

There seems to be enough desire for it that someone will eventually get it done.

The Tavor is pretty darn cool... but if you can't afford the Tavor, and want a cheaper but cosmetically similar alternative, consider an SKS bullpup from SGWorks?
