New to this forum after the Richmond gun show yesterday. I'm also new to the gun scene. I haven't shot a gun since I was a teenager, and just now am at the point where I can finally afford the expense of gun ownership. I bought a Ruger SR9c 9mm, and a Ruger LCP .380 recently. Not necessarily a Ruger buff, but I liked both guns best for the purposes they serve in their particular caliber best among all the other manufacturers.
I have been researching guns for a few months now and have learned a great deal, but still feel very naive. I joined the NRA, got the CHP, and am signed up to take a basic gun class this month with a well respected instructor here in the Richmond area.
Yesterday's gun show was awesome. I was able to get a few hundred bucks worth of .380 ammo (which is just about impossible to find these days) from various vendors by different manufacturers. I also picked up some really cool knives, a multi-tool by CRKT, a S&W tactical pen, and a NASTY stun gun at a rock bottom price. I spent a wad, but had a ball, and got what I wanted.
And, I'm not an Inspector. I just wanted a funny handle, and they wouldn't let me call myself "Dirty Harry".
