diplomatic immunity trumps USA laws

It was all just a simple misunderstanding, however if an american citizen would have told two air marshalls "he was lighting his shoes on fire" during a flight, that person would charged with making terrorist threat at least. Not this muslim diplomat though. If the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania ave has even an ounce of loyalty to the United States, this raghead should at least be immediately expelled from the country and never allowed back, and the Qatar government or king, or shaw, or whoever runs that camel stand, should be sued by every person who was on that plane as well as the US Government for costs incurred, and the state and local LEO, and fire fighters and first responders who all deployed for this camel jockey's littel "joke".... but I digress, we are talking about the Obama Hussien regime and nothing will be done.

Given that Qatar hosts a lot of our military bases for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, I doubt much of anything will come of this incident. I don't have a problem with him being Muslim, just a problem with him being a Grade A Jerk.

I dont care for the fact that diplomats in general are immune from US law. I shudder to think that I or Young might get involved in a serious auto accident up here with one. Who knows what might come of it and if they decided to walk there would be absolutely nothing we could do if it were their fault. Of course, it can never be a diplomat's fault. That is not allowed...

what nobody has pointed out is that this raghead was enroute to meet with a jailed terrorist. Yes folks this MUSLIM DIPLOMAT, was on official business to meet with another MUSLIM , A prisoner, Ali Al-Marri, a citizen of Qatar, who is serving eight years after pleading guilty last year to conspiring to support terrorism. Al-Marri was arrested after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, accused of being a sleeper agent researching poisonous gasses and plotting a cyberattack.

just in time too since Obama has scrubbed our national vernacular of any words remotely resembling "Islamic radicalism...."

The diplomatic immunity thing sucks, and I wish that whole system could be re-evaluated and limited in scope. But remember, it protects our diplomats overseas. And yes, we've had incidents where diplomats have been out drunk driving and careened into innocents. I've also been told that some our State Dept. people have used their diplomatic status to do some pretty crappy things while serving on foreign soil. So it cuts both ways.

What this idiot did was to violate a law, and then he attempted to cover it up with in an extremely insensitive manner, to put it mildly. I hope he has been asked to return to Qatar and never return to US soil.

However, being on a mission to see a countrymen accused of a crime is not something to get alarmed about. If you were jacked up on terrorism charges in China or the UAE or even Spain, I think you'd want the ability to have US State Dept people come talk to you. Not that Ali Al-Marri is innocent, but I see nothing wrong with the intended purpose of the visit. We would want the same for a US citizen charged in another country.

And "raghead"? Come on! Do you appreciate it when New York liberals refer to us as "rednecks", or when Chinese diplomats refer to all Americans as "cowboys"?

whether I do or not is irrelevant they still refer to "us" in the same manner regardless. PC , like other forms of intimidation, usually only work one way.

There is a difference between political correctness and racial or cultural slurs. Political correctness is an attempt to find offense where none was intended. Slurs are intended to be offensive. Admittedly, the difference can be subjective, but I've never known "raghead" to be any but offensive.

I prefer the term "little sheet head..." which would indeed fall into the definition of being anti PC. "Little" assaults stature...definitely a PC no no. "Sheet head" assaults dress and sheet is not what they wear anyway.

So, would "Vertically Challenged Turban Head" be proper....or is little sheet head OK?

This "guy" should be sent into a rendtion program.

To the person who wanted to school me on PC etiquette, don't bother . I have absolutely no desire to adhere to any kind of "tolerance" as long as it is based soley on Political correctness. I wonder if you were equally offended when they sawed through daniel pearls neck on video, while screaching like wild f'ing banshees and screaming death to the jews, and America"the great satan"? did that bother you as much? I have and will continue to refer to these rats as they are, scum of the earth. PERIOD.

I'm with you GS78. PC is for and was created by liberal socialists to enforce additional controls upon the citizenry. But since this same group gets to make the rules we end up with things like the picture below which may only be a cartoon but in today's societal "norms" is quickly becoming the blatant and corrupted truth...

GS78, I doubt we'd be having this conversation if you'd used the N-word instead of "raghead". Not all Muslims hate Jews, not all Muslims are Jihadists, and not all people from the Middle East are Muslim. Since all the Crusaders were white Christians, does that mean all white Christians are Crusaders?

That's the last I am gonna say on this thread.

Well you do well to end it there, as we were not discussing any "N" words that I am aware of. Your inclusion of it is very telling however.

Can we kick the UN out of the USA? I mean France did it to the NATO HQ. the UN delegates are all for helping the people in Africa and stuff, Let's kick them out and have them set it up in some desert country where they can REALL HELP the local population! then we can free up some prime real-estate, start getting New York some of that money from parking fines, and maye pay off Bloomburg to stay away.

Anyone see a down side to this?

Good luck doing that with the current administration. Obama and Clinton are 100% lets be like the Europeans. They have already green lighted the UN's small arms treaty and that is all I am going to say about that topic, because otherwise I will go on a rant and won't stop. But I am not even sure just getting rid of Obama next election would work either, because I don't know of a politician that would be willing to tell the UN to get out.

You are absolutely correct, don't be bashfull either, if you want to rant go for it. Someone will counter with an "anti" but thats the fun of it.
