Concealed Carry By Association?(Another Silly Question)

I've completed my concealed carry course and am ready to file paperwork, but my fiance has raised an interesting question. All vehicles in my household are registered to my name, including her daily driver. When a LEO pulls a vehicle over that is registered to someone with a concealed carry permit, does the LEO know before approaching the vehicle that the owner may be carrying? She is afraid if she ever gets pulled over and I have a CCP, they'll know the vehicle is registered to a CCP owner and she'll be approached with weapons drawn regardless of my presence.

And thanks for answering what I know to be some pretty newb questions, its making my ownership experience much easier and more enjoyable. I'll also add that the firearm owning community is probably the most enthusiastic and approachable community I've been a part of. Thanks.

just tell her to keep her hands on the wheel until they approach the car, they aren't going to draw their guns just because the car is registered to a CHP carrier. But the CHP is linked to your license so they will know you have one.

I got pulled over the other night, had my firearm on my hip, (don't think he saw it) officer ran my plates I'm sure, then of course my drivers license, never said a word.

Exactly. I don't know of a single incident where they drew pistols just from running the plates/registration/license. Perhaps after a 20 mile high speed chase, but I assure that has nothing to do with a CHP...

I don't think she will have any problems at all, unless you are both named Shirley. LOL
Bill
Just tell her to follow the advice about both hands on the wheel.
