Hey everyone,

I'm am new to this forum as well as new to owning firearms. My husband and I have been to two gun shows recently for the purchase of a handgun and a shot gun. I was perusing the carrying topic here and am shocked by how many businesses prohibit the carry of firearms. I will be continuously looking into that as my sense of security in the world and my neighborhood is quickly dying. I'm glad that there is a place like this for gun owners to share information. Initially, I was looking for information on what the rules are for carrying my weapon with a permit and I stumbled upon this forum. I look forward to meeting and talking with everyone! Thanks!

Welcome ,,, Concealed carry is much easier to deal with than open for a lot of business;s Unfortunatley if they post No Weapons or ask you to leave you gotta do it,or get charged with criminal tresspass, On the positive side is with concealed carry , no one knows your doing it unless you tell em..

My initial thoughts exactly. The clincher now is looking for a gun that I can easily conceal. Looking like a girl isn't exactly easy when you're trying to conceal a gun at your hip. I'm not a fan of baggy clothes. I don't think I've ever seen a no weapons sign posted in places I frequent. It prompted me to conduct an internet wide search on businesses that frown upon carrying weapons. Thanks for the welcome and the info!

Woohoo! :clapping: Thanks! The more I read, the more exciting this all becomes to me. I just discovered the opencarry.org site and I haven't done a lick of work today!
