Truck rifle

In the shotgun section, I posted about my "truck" shotgun. I have a "truck" rifle as well. It's an old Lithgow Armory British .303 in "as issued"(unmodified) condition. I've got 185 gr. PSP handloads in it and the magazine will hold 6 and still function. Like my truck shotgun, this is a good choice for me. It's a keeper, but certainly not one of my valuable rifles. I feel very confident with this rifle should I find myself suddenly in need of a full size .30 caliber rifle.

Is there something wrong with the magazine? Any original Lithgow is going to have a ten round magazine. Unless your 185 grainers have some wacky profile that interferes with feeding?

Get some decent strippers for it, load them properly and practice. You'll be surprised how quickly you can get off a lot of lead for a bolt action.
