Father retrieved old pistol from river while fishing 55 years ago. No barrel. Who would be interested in something like this? .32 Colt Cobra, six shot, old model.

We would be happy to take it for training purposes if you want to donate it. It may make a good classroom gun for CHP training.

Thank you!
We've had a number of folks donate things like magazines, holsters, etc. It makes for a great class when we have a number of different things like that to teach people about.

Oops it's a Colt, probably the worse for wear, innards all rusty and stuff, take it to a show and sell it as a relic for 25 bucks, unless you got some ancient unsolved small caliber cold case homicides in your area dating from say 1955. There's guys who collect rust buckets, old WWII stuff, the rustier the better, nonfiring paperweights. Gotta watch the Civil War artillery shells tho, OOPS BOOM.

I think the responsible thing to do would be to check with the police department where the gun was "retrieved". It is most likely a weapon that was used in some crime. Fish don't shoot, and if they did they would take better care of their guns.....

If someone is chucking a gun from a crime why take the barrel off? Is that an easy thing to do? Never really played with revolvers.

Easy? it would be an essential step if you wanted to deter ballistic profiling of the weapon.

Yup since barrels dont fall off by themselves. Those things are screwed in pretty tight.
Finding a revolver in the lake or river without a barrel and wondering why is kinda like sitting on the beach and trying to figure out what all that white stuff on your blanket is...
