Front Sight Repair

My wife has a Wather P22 that she shoots a lot. She had an issue with it when I was out of town, the front part that holds the front sight fell off. When this occurred the white plastic piece inside the front site fell out and could not be found. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for any help

I have attached two pictures. One is the rear sights showing the white insert. One is the front sight showing the hole with missing insert.

As bad as this is going to sound, I have used white nail polish for a front sight dot before.

Nope it's not bad, I have been known to do it too. Works great

I'm not so sure I'd let my wife carry a gun with parts falling off repaired by nail polish... :hysterical:

Seriously, nothing wrong with nail polish...the good thing is you can use any color you want...or she wants.
