I went to "The Smoking Gun" in Colonial Heights and had a very positive experience. You can bring your own ammo, and the staff was extremely friendly. I chatted with the people behind the counter for a while which was nice. Their range is on the small side, I think like 6 or 8 lanes maybe, but it is in much better shape than Dominion. I think this is where I'll be going from now on.

I have thought about checking this place out tired of buying dominions ammunition 30$ for 50 rounds of 9x18 mak is just nuts...

what do you have to pay to use the range? did all the lanes fill up?

I've been there on the weekend before and I sometimes take the long way home from work and stop by. After work, I've only had 1 or 2 others on the range with me, and I've been by myself also. A few more people there when I've been on a Saturday, but I haven't had to wait for a lane.
Range price is $10.00 if you buy their ammo, $20.00 if you bring your own.
