Short Confrontation

by OPSMARINE
Right this very minute, I am at a party in Marina, CA. Among several others here, I was parked in an illegal manner. At some point, the police were called, and they responded to begin citing vehicles. When I went out to move mine, I told the Officer that I was approaching and that I was armed. He said alright, and asked me why. I told him I was OCing. He asked me if I was clear and that was the end of that. Another Officer arrived, and we had a short conversation about the vehicles. Everyone in question moved, and the police left.
When I walked back up the street, the VERY angry neighbor across the street confronted me with inflammatory words. Mind you, I am still in my tie and weapon setup. The police didn't so much as bat an eye. He said he was going to call them right back over here because they didn't give me a ticket and that was bullsh**. I refused to engage him, and he jumped on the phone.
For the last hour now, he has been walking back and forth in front of his house, checking various vehicles. He'd better not touch mine. He keeps eyeballing us. We are not speaking to him, but there are 35 of us here. He's on the phone now, calling the police again. Update later. This guy is an anus.

I wish neighbors would mind their own business unless they're coming over to offer a hand with something.
The officer asked you if you were clear - meaning unloaded? What are the laws regarding carrying a firearm in CA (pertinent to this situation)? You can only carry an unloaded weapon?

IIRC, OC in Cali requires it to be unloaded.

Can you carry a live round in your left breast pocket like Barney Fife?

Yep. Interesting point, so I Googled it. We need to pray for our Cali brethren. They have it rough. Here's a take on what open carry means there:

Given the laws in CA they are fortunate to be able to carry period. And, it only takes a couple of seconds to lock and load. Granted those seconds could count big at least they arent forbidden to carry at all.

From a legal perspective, I think you'd be OK, as long as it's not concealed...

you need to be careful how many holes are in that brick, to many and Ca might consider it an assault brick

This thread reminded me of an article on the same subject from the November 2009 VA-ALERT.

Some of the comments border on ludicrous. There are a slew of idiots in Cali. Thank God I don't live there. I wish we could just saw it off and let it sink into the Pacific.

I dont think thats necessary. Sometime in the not so distant future it will break off at the San Andreas fault. I'm convinced of that. The whole area west of that is a cesspool of immorality and God's judgment will be swift and sure.
Need examples?
New Orleans - hit repeatedly by major hurricanes. Wiped out by Katrina. Second place in immorality to San Fransisco.
Haiti - destroyed by major earthquake. Google voodoo and Haiti is at the top of the list.
Indonesia - hit by major tsunami 2004. World's largest population of muslims.
California - hit this year repeatedly by major storms causing mudslides and avalanches. Major damage in LA and SF.

I caught that comment "off" at first... D'oh.
I'm not sure of God's plan, but it does seem that Sodom & Gomorrah are in the crosshairs... and all of the liberal f**kwits responsible will be brought to justice before Him.

Oh crap! I need to move further away from DC then. If those places got treated like that, I can't imagine the ass-whoopin' he has in store for the District.

It shall be... as we say... Biblical.
Sorry for the pun.

Hey Brent, as the old Pentecostal preacher used to say "its time to get prayed up."

I'd rather build a fence all the way around it so we have somewhere to house political criminals next January...
