I found out yesterday that Starbucks is OC and CC friendly! That's a big surprise to me for reasons that I may discuss at another time. When asked Saturday if they had a policy on open carrying of guns, Starbucks said in a statement, "Starbucks supports the federal, state and local laws of the communities in which we do business."

This all came about when the Brady Campaign started harassing the coffee chain about their support of firearms in their establishments. The Brady Bunch has sent emails to over 180,000 people asking that they send emails to Starbuck's requesting that they create an Anti-Gun policy.

Starbucks' customer relations department said the following in response to the Brady Campaign's request. "Starbucks does not have a corporate policy regarding customers and weapons; we defer to federal, state and local laws and regulations regarding this issue."

VGOF'ers, please stop by Starbuck's and grab a $5.00 cup of coffee the next time you're out and about! They could use our support!

I used to all the time but the 5.00 coffee has been raised to 6.00.

Stop in and buy something. Then, send a letter to their corporate offices, thanking them for supporting gun owners. Attach your receipt to the letter.

Thats an excellent idea. We should do that for others too and also those that do not support.
