Remington 700 Questions

I've been looking for a Remington 700 in .308 and I found one, trying to work a trade with a fellow now on it.

- H-S precision mag conversion
Here's the question I have... does anybody know about the H-S precision mag conversion and can tell me about it? I assume it's a conversion to allow to use the M14 magazines? Seller is putting about a $400 dollar value on this conversion so I'm not sure if it's something I really want to pay for.
Any advice is much appreciated, I'm doing much research on the R-700's in preparation for my next buy.

I have installed an H-S precision mag conversion on it and have 2-4 round mags and 1-10rnd mag for it. It also has a Bushnell 4200 Elite 50mm tactical scope mounted on it with Leupold quick release rings. Got some bucks tied up in it after I originally purchased it with the scope and mag conversion.
Any advice is much appreciated, I'm doing much research on the R-700's in preparation for my next buy.
