There is some kind of strange, white stuff falling from the sky this morning
O, the weather outside's inviting...
'til the dog did something frightening...
and although there's nowhere else to go...
yellow snow, yellow snow, yellow snow...

Ah, Frank Zappa in the evening.
Well right about that time, people,
A fur trapper
Who was strictly from commercial
(Strictly Commershil)
Had the unmedicated audacity to jump up from behind my igyaloo
(Peek-a-Boo Woo-ooo-ooo)
And he started in to whippin' on my fav'rite baby seal
With a lead-filled snow shoe . . .

We got about 10" here. I got called in Friday to work in case of power outages. Spent the night in Wake Forest, got sent home yesterday morning at 11:00 and never had to work. Easy OT

The drive home wasn't easy. If you think people in Virginia get stupid with snow on the road just go to North Carolina. Then again I guess a few of them that I passed running 65 mph on roads that had never been cleared thought I wasn't wrapped to tight either.

Yeah, but were you driving that big ass bucket truck? That thing probably weighs enough to crunch right down to the pavement.

It's slicker than owl $h!# out on the roads this morning. I could have used a set of tire chains.

My sister's in-laws had a place on the outskirts of Atlantic City in the 60s.
I love winter/snow at the beach.
The gray sky melds with the dark water.
Desolate & beautiful, all at the same time.
(And I miss The Mothers of Invention).

Coming from Michigan, I tend to find myself getting aggravated a lot in situations like this weekend. I have a car, and find myself cursing for people to get off the roads if they are that scared to drive. I hate cruising along only to come up on someone driving 5-10 mph. It was the weekend, everything was closed for the most part, stay your butt at home if driving in those conditions scare you.
The only thing I hate about getting snow like we did, is it makes me miss home, lol.

Well I used the snow to pull a quick one on my dear swwetheart Young. The guy on the news was talking about the Toyota recall and a few minutes later we were on a backstreet covered with snow. I tromped the gas and yelled its stuck. She never batted an eye and said "sweety you driving a Korean car not Japansese."
