Who has attended any of their courses? Which one did you attend, and was it worth the cost? Just got their 90 min introductory DVD in the mail. Did anyone purchase their Dry Practice Guide for Defensive Handgun use. Was it the best you have seen, or are there better ones out there. While I'm thinking about it, where are similar courses in this part of the country?

Proshooter offers some great courses. He'll pop up sooner or later. He can probably give you some good info.

I haven't been there, but almost every review I've read about the training they provide gives them very good to excellent ratings--almost on par with Thunder Ranch.
That said . . . there is a lot of negative stuff about them too. However, the negatives have nothing to do with their training and fall into three basic categories.
1) Some complain that, while you are attending, there is a lot of enthusiastic promotion, if not actual pressure, for you to buy into their "time-share"-like plans.
2) The owner has been sued by some of the people who bought those plans and his fiscal matters in general, and at one point the company was apparently placed in some type of receivership until its finances were straightened out. Some don't like it that he aggressively defended himself when this occurred. Some don't like it that he is a millionaire.
3) And, there are a number of people who don't like the owner's alleged ties to Scientology, although he has repeatedly stated that he is a Catholic and that Front Sight has no connection with Scientology.
The
wikipedia article about the owner is interesting.

+1 for what Kurt said... I haven't been there either, but I did take the Front Sight quiz from the link here on VGOF, and since then the emails have been coming faster than the snow here this morning. Call me skeptical, but something doesn't ring quite true when a fellow blows his own horn that loud. When the word of mouth testimonials equal his output, maybe then I'd look into what he's doing.

Thanks for the mention, fellas.
While we do not have a facility like Front Sight or the flashiness of the operation, we'd be happy to help you with any live fire range training that we can.

I haven't attended. I think there's a bit too much fire and maneuver--especially the maneuver part--for this octogenarian. But, if you ask for their info and then want to get off their mailing/calling lists, good luck.
