What's the oldest gun you own? Post a picture of it in this thread so we can all see it. Don't pull a pic of a gun like yours from elsewhere on the web, we want to see
your oldest gun. Don't forget to tell what it is and anything special about it- was it a first gun, birthday or Christmas present, belonged to father or grandfather, things like that.
Here's mine:
Nagant Model 1895 Revolver. This one has a 1930 arsenal stamp. Based on its appearance I'm sure it was reconditioned at some point.

Well, I been thinning things out a bit, but still have this MDL of 1905 in 32/20-- good thing I load my own, cause I sure am not about to pay $55.00 a box for it. Grips are factory, medallion is gold. The grips are worth more than the refinished gun I would think.

Tusker - That's a sharp looking piece.

Oldest Rifle:
Merwin and Bray "Ballard Drop Block" style black powder cartridge carbine circa 1862 and probably saw action during the civil war with the Kentucky militia. It is mechanically sound, unfortunately, the stock is cracked so I won't shoot it for fear of destroying it completely.
Oldest Pistol:
Colt Double Action Frontier Model in .45 Colt. Manufactured in 1895, it was purchased by my grandfather sometime around 1920. Refinished and fitted with handmade grips by my father when he inherited it after Grandpa passed away in 1972, I inherited it from my father when he passed away in 2001 and my son will get it when I kick the bucket (hopefully no time soon). This venerable old pistol has defended family members on at least three separate occasions over the years.

I've got a Nagant also, but don't have a picture of it. I'll have to correct that, and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure when it was made. It's probably not as old as this one.
Colt Pocket Positive, in 32 New Police. According to the S/N it was made in 1912. The grips are Mother of Pearl. The pictures here doesn't do it justice. The story was it has been in a safe deposit box for at least the last 30 years.
One other one. It's a pretty common Stevens 46 22 rifle. I don't know how old it is, but it doesn't have a S/N which puts it before the Gun Control Act of 1968. I got this one from a buddy of mine I used to fish with. He wanted a "flipping stick" but didn't have the money to get one (A bass fishing rod and reel). I had one and had discovered I absolutly HATE to "flip." It's like real work. I told him he could have it, no charge.
He told me he'd pay me when he got the money. I told him don't worry about it.
A few days later, he shows up at the door with this old 22 rifle and insisted that I keep it until he paid me. I told him I would. I put it in the back of the gun cabinet and pretty much forgot it. He moved away years later, and I never saw him again. I later heard that he had passed away.
I eventually dug it out, cleaned enough lead out of the barrel to melt down to make a bullet, and cleaned it up a bit. It's a pretty decent shooter.

I dont have a picture handy, but my oldest is a long tom 12 gauge squirrel rifle. Its a Perfection and obviously quite old. It was my Dad's and I have no clue where he got it. I would ask him but I'll have to wait until we meet again in Heaven. Anyone have any info on Perfection shotguns? I'd appreciate as there is very little to be found on the Internet.

Saw standard MN91/30's there, my youngest son bought one, but didn't see any sniper's. I hadn't planned on buying anything but came home with that Nagant at the beginning of the thread.

I got it from a guy that had a single table. Not the big guys like Dark Sun, or Trader Jerry. He only had 2 of them.
