I wonder if they'll have the Kel-Tec PMR-30? I hope they have two, because one will be going home with me if they do! See you there Saturday! :tinfoil:

I don't think it's been released yet. Kel-Tec's website says Q2 2010 - so it should be available sometime after 1 April, I'd say.

I expect I'll be at work, but you never know... maybe I can swing a visit.

Hey, ProShooter - if you're going to be up here, you should come by Nova Armament and say hello, if you can.

I went to one last fall and I wasn't very impressed by the prices I saw. I asked a guy if he'd be willing cover the taxes on an AR lower (about $15.00) and he acted like I asked him to do push-ups. What's the point of going to a gun show if everything is at or above ordinary prices? Maybe I'll swing by and check it out one more time just to look around.

Anyone know if its worth going there on Friday evening? I have been to some shows that have less than half of the tables set up on Friday's. I may be in the area Friday evening and wouldn't mind stopping in, but not if they won't have the majority of the tables set up

Seems like all tables are up on Friday. Maybe one or two are unattended.

Have to wonder if it will go as scheduled and whether the weather will have kept lots of exhibitors away.

According to the weather channel, after today, things are supposed to stay mostly sunny through the middle of next week. Hopefully, by late tomorrow most main thoroughfares will be cleared and easily drivable.

Reported by the NRA @ www.nranews.org

NATIONS GUN SHOW THIS WEEKEND!
February 12, 13, and 14
DULLES EXPO CENTER
CHANTILLY, VA

Beginning of the Ruger Legend

In 1942, a young Bill Ruger, armed with a dream and a modified Savage Model 99, knocked on the door of the Springfield Armory in Massachusetts. Right as the US was gearing up for World War II, Bill decided to bring his rifle as a testament to his engineering skills, maybe even enough to land him a position with the workforce.

The rifle had been a lever action Savage Model 99 chambered for the .250-3000 cartridge. However, Bill had made some changes. He converted the rifle from its original lever-action setup to a semi automatic design. His conversion used the original receiver and barrel assemblies with an easily installed semi automatic conversion. While Ruger thought the design lacked elegance, the Armory's review committee disagreed. He was immediately hired as an arms designer for the US Army. In the postwar years, this experience gave Ruger the foundation to design a line of firearms that would become one of the largest American arms corporations.

Please join us at the Nation's Gun Show at Chantilly, Virginia on February 12th, 13th and 14th. The NRA's National Firearms Museum will be bringing this prototype and other associated arms to the event in recognition of Bill Ruger's beginnings.

Main roads are fine now. Do be careful on the side roads. Roads are much improved today but easy to get caught on one that is longing for the attention of a plow. Clearing parking lots has been something of a challenge I understand. I suspect at worst some spaces will be lost to the large mounds.

Enjoy the show. I will probably stop by myself.
