I'll be going to University of Mary Washington for college in a few days, and I was hoping to find some gun ranges in the general proximity to Fredericksburg. I've found two so far in searching online - one requires membership and the other is limited to a 25 range pistols only. I've got a pistol and plan on purchasing another soon, but I am really hoping to find a range for shotguns or rifles.
Anyone know of any in the areas in close proximity to Fredericksburg?

You could become a member at NVGC, which has skeet/trap and a separate rifle range with distances of 25, 50, 100 and 200 yards. It is all outdoors.

NVGC is just 20 minutes from Fredericksburg.
For indoor shooting, "The Range" in Stafford is a pretty good place - but only out to 25 yards.

The NRA range is also a great place to go, but it is in Fairfax, about an hour from Fredericksburg.

Try the izack Walton Leauge of alexanderia located on 610 in stafford. The chapter has two large ponds for fishing, a camping area, a range where pistols, rifles and shotguns can be fired, an archery range and a skeet range. It cost $200 the first year and $100 a year after that. They also have a Turkey shoot open to the public every Saturday night until March. There is also hunting areas.

The IWL in Spotsylvania is another option. The facilities are nowhere near as nice as what I believe the Stafford site to be, but on the up side, the pistol ranges are rarely occupied.
