Most of you think I wear my foil hat to often, but I think we could use a survival/bugout thread.... there are a lot of advantages to being prepared for anything. Water purification, medical supplies storage and usage, farming techniques and herbal remedies etc.. I just read an article about the emerging Bartering boom that is taking place around the country already. .......so ..... What say you?

There is nothing wrong with being prepared with a plan and supplies. I have a friend that has topographical maps of the mountains in our area( just in case).

It's a great idea, but can't we come up with a better name. When i think of the tin foil hat i think roswell and the crazys who claim to have been abducted by aliens.

Agreed, that could stay under general though as I don't see it being of any great size. I could be wrong but I would start it as a thread myself...

I was hoping Rick would call it "Ideas for SHTF Scenarios" or something similar... I think there also might be enough interest to have a separate topic for it...not many folks are prepared...well maybe a few here...

We could call it the "EOTWAWKI" section instead of "SHTF"

That was my second suggestion but looks like Rick beat us to it and added SHTF....

Well seeing that there is already a pretty popular forum using that name, maybe we should just clean out a little corner here somewhere and name it something else....
