...and some encouragement for the long haul we may face here in VA. Two principles at work here: (1) preemption by higher level government (in this case State vs County) and (2) personal liability for the scofflaw anti-gun politicians. The potential analogies for us would be to try to get some kind of pre-emptive federal firearms-rights legislation (after this year's elections if the House can be wrested from Pelosi et al) and/or federal judicial protection, and then going after Northam, Herring, et al for "deprivation of civil rights under color of law".
