Hi.

My name is domin8ss, and I'm a Glock-whore. I have (too) many of them. After riding the same pony for many years I'm bored and looking to add something new, different, and exciting to my collection.

The problem is, I can't figure out which gun to get first. I know I'll eventually have all of these, but I can only afford 1 right now. Which do you think I should buy first? All of these guns are under $1,500, which is my budget.

If you pick "OTHER" please list which you think I should get. Please don't pick rifles or shotguns. I have a bunch of ARs, and about to start an AR-10 build. It's already blueprinted. I just need to finish my build (gen 4 Glock 34 MOS build).

Are you looking for a new carry pistol, or just a range toy?

I really wouldn't know how to advise you, truth be told; I'm more into revolvers, myself. Though, a while back, I realized that I like little "Ring of Fire" pistols, too.

Personally I think you need to get the new Steyr L9-A2 MF, and then invite me to help evaluate it! *grin*

I love them Sigs.

What about a Kimber? I've always wanted one of those. Nice little subcompact 1911 seems like it would be fun to shoot.

Range Toy/Safe Queen/BBQ gun. I have nothing against revolvers. They just aren't on my radar right now. They will be later on. I do find myself checking them out occasionally.

Can you get onto a military base? I typically shoot at the indoor range on Marine Corps base Camp Allen in Norfolk.

I'm not one of those people who gets friendly with my neighbor, and I don't necessarily trust them. I also don't have family close by.

I have nothing against Kimber. I honestly haven't looked at them yet. As the list above is acquired I'll have to start looking at other brands like Kimber, CZ, etc. I do have a problem with subcompacts though. My hands are huge. I wear XXL gloves. Shooting small guns isn't fun or comfortable.

Probably not readily. I am not present or former military. I just engineer their toys.

I've got a FNX-45, and IMO, it's a pretty decent gun. It has the solid feel of the Ruger P90, I got the one with the combat sights.
I just prefer the combat sights, if you like "rudders" get the "tactical" version. It shoots great, the FNX-45 is one of the few guns
I have bought that came right out of the box shooting like a champ, with no break-in, mods, or facacta farting around.

Or get a Sig, that 226 Legion rocks.

I went shopping with the wife tonight. At one of the stores we stopped by we ended up at the gun counter. She ended up getting a Sig P229 Legion in her hands. She said it felt better than her Glock 43. When we left the store she was talking about the gun. We shall see.

A 1911 anything would be a nice addition to your collection. I've been wanting something in 10mm....Really like the S&W 610 revolver with 6" barrel and can shoot .40 s&w too.

That's why the Sig Emporer Scorpion I'd on my list. I'll have one eventually. The question is whether it'll be sooner or later.

Here it is -- the newest gun in my collection. It's the Sig Sauer P226 Legion DASA. Thanks for everybody's input.

PS, it's my wife's fault. She surprised me and actually paid for it on 12/31. It came in yesterday and was picked up today. Now she's expecting us to get the P229 Legion DASA in the next few months. Those of you who've been/are married know how this goes. She better get what she wants, lol.
