Virginia bill to make firearms training an "illegal paramilitary activity" and felony?

Virginia legislators have clearly lost their minds on this latest bill that was drafted and filed this month, which will be open to discussion come January 2020.

This of course is in reference to Senate Bill Number 64, or SB64 as it may appear on various print or spoken discussion.

Virginia is attempted to chip away at the rights of citizens, one small hammer stroke at a time; and this bill is going to attempt to outlaw firearm training. We’ll display the language used in the bill and get into dissecting how it may be perceived generally, or even presented, versus how it can also be enacted.

“A person is guilty of unlawful paramilitary activity, punishable as a Class 5 felony if he: 1. Teaches or demonstrates to any other person the use, application, or making of any firearm, explosive, or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, knowing or having reason to know or intending that such training will be employed for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder”

Let's list a few felony worthy activities under this law. (In my opinion - IANAL)

Any NRA rifle, pistol, or shotgun training course.

The State mandated hunter training course required of some people to get a hunting license.

The state mandated training course to get a Virginia concealed carry permit.

Any gunsmithing training course given in the state. (I just looked there are no permanent schools like this in VA but any seminars would be illegal)

Of course, this would also shut down every karate, judo, or any other discipline dojo in the state.

Would high school and college wrestling be outlawed?
Would only flag football be allowed?

Of course, law enforcement gun ranges and academies would have to be exempt. As is the usual case with laws like this.

I believe that text of SB64 just reiterates the current law, (sections 1 and 2) and the actual change is the addition of section 3 which MIGHT make VCDLs gatherings and Lobby Days felonies.

This would explain why gun control groups would push their agenda disguised as "gun safety", but never hand out gun locks, gun safes, nor provide gun safety instruction like keeping guns locked up so little kids don't get them. Now they've branded the only people who are actually teaching gun safety as terrorists and felons.

It's a poor thing when a damnyankee like myself knows that Bull Run was the Union name for what the Confedaracy called the Battle of Manassas. And if it comes to it, it will in no wise be a battle. Such a thing will not even merit the foul title of "battle".
