Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

Just checking in. I have grown up using and enjoying guns and hunting. Although I am retired (from the Department of Corrections) I work occasionally in a sporting goods/gun store. I also pastor a smaller country church and have been in the ministry for over 30 years. I am most definitely NOT a pacifist nor liberal in thought or practice. Glad to be amongst friends.....

Thanks for the welcome. I was not a CO with DOC, I was in management. Before I was with the DOC I had been in management at various levels for 30+ years. I have always been bi-vocational, pastoring a church as well as working a full time job.

Palladin, That is one of the great things about concealed....no one knows who is, and who isn't....but I am very seldom without at least one weapon. Usually I carry a primary and a back-up weapon, and as a last resort I always carry a good sharp knife. I know, only a fool brings a knife to a gun fight....but only a fool uses bare hands unless he HAS to!

My philosophy precisely. Anyone who carries a gun should also carry a good knife...
